The Ickabog is Reaching an International Audience!

We are delighted that the free, online serialisation of The Ickabog has been translated into French, Italian, German, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. The first five chapters of J.K. Rowling’s story are available to read from today, with daily instalments released every weekday up until the 17th July. Start reading the story of The Ickabog here.

Budding young, artists will be pleased to know that The Ickabog Illustration Competition launches today in France, Italy, Germany, Spain (including Latin America) and Brazil, making this a truly international collaboration between the writer and young artists around the world. All international competitions will be run by the local publishers. J.K. Rowling will not be part of the judging process.

The Ickabog is now available to read in Simplified Chinese and Russian, every weekday a new instalment will be released until 31st July.

In November, The Ickabog will be published, in print and eBook, in French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese and Russian. An audiobook will follow.
